Last week, GEOxyz had the pleasure of welcoming clients to our newly renovated HUB in Oostende for an exclusive event, where we presented the latest developments in our Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) portfolio.
The event provided a unique opportunity for our clients to see firsthand the technical capabilities of our USVs and the specialised Launch and Recovery System (LARS) that enables their deployment.
The day started with a warm welcome from our CEO, Patrick Reyntjens, who shared GEOxyz’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability within the industry. He spoke about our mission to improve the safety, efficiency, and environmental impact of marine operations through the use of remote technology and autonomous systems.
This was followed by a presentation from Lieselot Noppe, Program Manager of GEOxyz’s Innovation Department, who offered insights into the department’s current projects and forward-looking research. Lieselot highlighted how the innovation team is currently implementing advanced systems to get more out of the data we collect, transforming it into smart data that can drive better decision-making.
Next, Laurens Goossens, Project Manager USV, took the stage to walk our clients through the wide range of USVs in our portfolio. He explained the technical setups, capabilities, and real-world applications of these vessels, showcasing how they can be used in diverse nearshore, offshore and inland water environments.
A key part of the event was the live demonstrations. Clients were able to see our USVs in action on the water, where we demonstrated our specialised Launch and Recovery System (LARS), designed for the safe and effective deployment of the marine drones. Attendees also had the chance to experience a demo of our Remote Control Center, where our USVs are monitored and controlled remotely from onshore, demonstrating the full scope of their operational capabilities.
